Landscape Photography is amazing any time of the year. But in winter after a fresh snow fall it is extra special. I was lucky enough to get out for sunrise and capture the beauty of the snowy scene in the Peak District National Park, England. I also share some great photography tips and techniques as I wonder around in awe.

Thank you Nigel, you are really able to trigger out my desire to go out and take pictures. I finally took a new lens today, it's the first new lens I bought since I got my Nikon D750 with a 24-120mm four years ago. I'm really excited to let me inspire by my new wide angle (Tamron SP 15-30mm f/2.8) and new composition possibility. September in Switzerland has a wonderful light and autumn is coming!

Bobby Babaletskos says:

Your videos and images are a true inspiration, apart from the great information. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!

Michael Allberry says:

Hi Nigel…new to your VLOGS and enjoyed this (subscribed), the enthusiasm and useful info you give out. Just a quick question-it seems you do your vlogging on a manageable budget looking at the gear lists. How do you edit your videos though? What software do you use? Keep up the great work

MertcanKarakaya says:

Great vid, pretty amazing 😀 If any of you have an interest in related videos, have a look at heydominik. He's got really interesting instagram tricks too:D:)

Chris Kayler Photography says:

Right on! Great video. As a new nature/landscape photography vlogger myself, I really appreciated that cinematic intro. Really well done. The scenery was just gorgeous in this vid, and it was cool seeing you enjoy it so much out there. I can relate, for sure. I liked the image at 5:28 the best. That kiss of light makes it and I think the comp is really strong. Anyways, thanks for sharing. I'm gonna sub to your channel, and look forward to more videos in the future.

I love your excitement at the start of this vlog Nigel, I'm a bit like that myself when I get excellent conditions, I'm currently housebound at the moment with a broken ankle, so all this snow we have been having has passed me by this year, my own website hasn't had a new image since before xmas, I'm from Scotland myself and we have had a bountiful supply of the white stuff in the past few weeks which I can only view out of the bedroom window, your vlogs help keep me going, I hope you don't mind me saying but I think your channel is by far the best of the current bunch of vloggers out there, your method and presenting technique brings me back every time, keep up the good work.

Jody Smith says:

Loved that last image. I really liked the simplicity of the snow drifts.

Eef Velthorst says:

Watching your video is both entertaining and instructive. Explaining your compositions, and your reasoning for taking a photo or not, is very helpful.
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience and your knowledge.

Wow wow love the images great snow shots. What a day. But you got to be so brave to get out in them conditions. Worries me about getting stuck out in the car or damaging it

Enjoyable video as usual Nigel. Good tips on composition. Can I ask, what attachment are you using on your tripod in portrait format? Thanks again.

Ricky Grossmann says:

Another amazing video with absolutely beautiful conditions. I know you no longer live in the SF bay area, but would a Northern Ca workshop be something you would ever plan on in the future. I’m sure you have a lot of great locations to share from this area.
