KALVIN B says:

There isn't anybody can speak English in here. But you can speak Chinese a little!

Homura Kaname says:

The guy said they used to live in that cave?

travis tse says:

I AM FROM GUANGXI…

UFO says:

This is what i was looking for. Thank you. we need more of this kind

respect & peace says:

I like your video. If everyone could try to understand different cultures like you, we would have a way much better world.

Tony Mark says:

Well, human is designed for work hard, all the organs such as liver, kidney , CAC cycles, Gluconeogenesis…. those are build to deal with starvation and working. Lazy and over consuming food is the problem that Americans are facing, and this may leads to some serious metabolic disease, such as type 2 diabetes, cancers .

Brijit Reed says:

I could be wrong, so forgive me if I'm way out of line here, but at one point in this video you visit a cave that you believed was a shrine devoted to asking the spirits for good crops, and I would go a step further and say it's quite possible that that's an ancestral shrine and is indeed invoking the spirits of ancestors for good crops. It looked like there were at least three ancestral tablets there and it's quite possible that the pots behind the mound contained the bones of someone's ancestors– not alcohol. But I could be wrong. I'd really like to hear from other people on this.

Leon James says:

I would love to live there. You are a fortunate man, my friend.

Simon Yue says:

You kinda look like Steve Jobs in this hat…

Yunyun He says:

the baby is so cute

YU HE says:

15:13 this is not a shrine, it is just a tomb.

katie william says:

sweet. wish i was there

Opportunity In China says:

I feel like Guangxi and Guizhou are the two most underappreciated provinces in China.

Frank Xu says:

I am Chinese and have been living in the US for over 20 years. I will take my kids to these villages one day to experience a different world.

Michael Su says:

land is the most important thing in a Chinese farmer's life. So many of the Chinese farmers would choose to bury themselves in their own land.

william smith says:

What about Qinggil? Large gold nuggets in the rivers and streams? Any knowledge of such?

sunchi cheng says:

Most are too busy on there daily life ! Unlike western ppls got time to pick on this pick on that.

chiulian wong says:

Thank you 公石

C Griffin says:

You've definitely mastered the slurping and smacking Chinese style.

xuanru liu says:

why you want to live in guangxi ,guangxi is very poor in China

Patrick A. Crawley says:

Very good video.
Nothing traditional…apart from the poverty.
And so much concrete…horrible.
No signs of tradition or continuity.

wwbdwwbd says:

Still better than Detroit.

john banwell says:

This is one of Matt's best videos. It shows us a place we would never see elsewhere. Tourist spots like Sa Pa in Vietnam are a bit of a bore. We're shown around by a tour guide. Yawn.

即将拥有人鱼线的PDD says:

This man is a real traveler, China is much more than Shanghai and Shenzhen. This man explored many different aspects of China and showed us the reality about China

liu luis says:

Even a hidden and remote village has clean drink water and non stop electricity, paved road, school, internet. pretty impressive progress, god job china

ZG Young says:

You never need to worry about a thing walking alone whether in daytime or nighttime. There wouldn't be any barbarians that hold a gun to head because you are different.

I wish I could say the same, when doing so in the New England area.

Panada Bear says:

Meanwhile Beijing has more billionaires than any city in the world…good to see the CPC talking care of the workers/farmers in the countryside and not just helping out the uber rich. 😛

k jason says:

Rural people live in the way they are used to. Pure thoughts. Enthusiastically treat others. They are not poor, no one is starving to death. No one is no clothes wearing. No one has no house to live. Unlike some American street people. I don’t think you need to have too much American sympathy. To learn more about the cultures and customs of various regions of China. It will be very interesting for you. If you really want.
From your narrative. I know that you are about Chinese culture, history, and customs.

Still a blank sheet of paper.

Although you have a Chinese wife, it is not easy for a white person to understand Chinese culture.
